Priority windows don't guarantee a car

Mattel states that membership gives you a chance to buy, not a guaranteed purchase. Priority windows are usually around 48 hours but end once an item sells out, and an item sitting in your cart isn't reserved. Your purchase is only confirmed when you get an order number.

sELECTIONs: the made-to-order cars

Members vote on the casting, color and wheels for sELECTIONs cars. Mattel says it produces the quantity members order, so if you order within the priority window, you'll receive one.

A short history

The club dates back to 2002, when the first membership car was a '67 Camaro, according to LamleyGroup's history. Production and membership numbers rose and fell over the years. In 2021 the digital membership became unlimited, with a limited physical car kit sold separately.
